Even if the derm doesn't ask, absolutely mention:

a. How long you have had the HS-like bumps:
i. Diagnóstico fue en diciembre 2019. Ronchas y cosas similares partieron en
2018.
b. If it is at its worst/ best in the current state, and
i. De 1 a 10, está en su 6-7. Porque cuando lo tenía diagnosticado lo tuve
muy fuerte, me dolía mucho. Luego dejé de ser consistente con el
tratamiento que me dieron, hasta que pedí hora de nuevo el 31 de
diciembre. Durante febrero (8 de febrero) el tratamiento hizo que
empeorara, teniendo ronchas con mucho dolor. (Resorcinol + Climadicina
– 6 meses - ; Doxy, por dos meses). Ahora, tengo dolores de vez en cuando
pero está en una etapa de no tanto dolor ni molestia, pero igual me
preocupa que en pleno tratamiento, que se supone que mejora todo, me
terminó empeorando durante un tiempo.

2. If they offer you something topical (cream, gel, serum)- Ask these in the following in this
order: How long do I need to use the product before I will see an effect? Will I experience
irritation, or worsening bumps before I see improvement? and finally- What does my skincare
routine need to look like while on this medication? What happens if this doesn't work? What
side effects should I look out for?

3. If they offer you an oral pill (doxycycline, accutane, birth control, spironolactone)- Ask these
in the following in this order: Will I be nauseous on this medication? Why do you recommend
this medication as opposed to others? What does my skincare routine need to look like on this
medication? What happens if this doesn't work? How often will I need to come into the clinic
while on this pill? Will I experience irritation, or worsening HS symptoms before I see
improvement? What side effects should I look out for?

4. Make sure to discuss diet with them if it is something you are willing to pursue.

5. Make sure you schedule a follow-up appointment.
