1. Explain drained and undrained behaviour of soils. You may include diagrams.

2. A sample of dry 0.5 kg coarse grain material is sent to the laboratory for sieve analysis.
Based on Table 1, determine:

a. The particle size distribution curve

b. D10, D30 and D60
c. Uniformity coefficient, Cu
d. Coefficient of gradation, Cc
