Paper Pumpkins

Materials Needed:
- 2 Pieces of Orange Paper
- 1 Piece of Brown Paper
- Scissors
- Glue Stick
- Green Ribbon (optional)

Steps:
1. Fold your orange piece of paper in half horizontally (hamburger style!) and then each half
in half, and then fold these halves in half as well (refer to photos for clarity)!
2. Cut along the fold lines to separate all of the paper strips.
3. On the other piece of orange paper, draw two circles and cut them out (you can trace the
ring of a cup as well for more even circles).
4. Take 4 of the strips and glue their bases to one of the circles to form a cross (one on each
side of the circle).
5. Take 2 of the remaining strips, fold them in half, and cut along the fold lines.
6. Take these thinner strips and glue their bases to the circle as well, in between the four
original strips (this will form a star shape).
7. Take your remaining circle and glue the unattached ends of your star to it. This should
cause the pumpkin to take shape.
8. Now that you have your pumpkin’s body, it’s time to make its stem! Cut out a small section
of your brown paper and fold it in half. From here, fold each end up slightly to form little
tabs. Glue these tabs to the top of your pumpkin!
9. Complete! If you want, you can curl some green ribbon and attach it to the top of your
pumpkin for a vine.
