As a big telecommunications company in Asia, Samsung wants to improvet the quality of
life the people, in South East Asia and Australia through technology. Since three years ago, Samsung has lauched a program to helpunfortunate people by giving donations to some non- governmental organizations. These organizations are to create a project that will be evaluated by judges from different countries. This year, the winners from Indonesia are Yayasan Sutera and Yayasan Mitra Netra, which were actually last year’s winners. Yayasan Sutera, which recelved USD 52,997, helps people in aceh, while Yayasan Mitra Netra, which got USD 41.138, has created a program called “1000 Books for the Blind.” Mr. sang-Jin Park, Samsung’s Asia Regional CEO and President, says that technology should enable everybody to achieve a better future.
