Description: The image above is an artwork from Sistine Chapel.

It shows nude
individuals doing their respective actions. On its left side, the land is filled with people
who are hurt by someone with crown. On the right side, group of people are in the
boat and someone is harming others as well. I can also observe that on the upper
part many people are in the clouds and violence is still present.
Analysis: The artwork shows a contrast of light colors as the background which is
the clouds and dark colors which are the people in the painting. The artist creates
space between the land, water, and the sky.
Interpretation: I think the painting is about poverty and slavery or hell. Poverty and
slavery because individuals do not wear any clothes and some superior people are
hurting them for doing the wrong things and forcing them to do their assigned tasks.
In contrast, hell because most of the people are suffering from pain. There are parts
where a man is surrounded by snakes.
Judgement: I think it is an excellent painting considering that it is place inside a
chapel. The artist creates a fruitful artwork which has different meanings and is
alarming because of the judgment with the people. Thus, viewing the piece of art will
make us reflect about the things we are doing in the world since when the time
comes we will be judged according to the actions we have done.
