Purpose: The purpose of English Language Arts is to assist the students with building their

vocabulary, grammar, comprehension, and improve their communication skills. In ELA we focus

on the students basic writing and reading comprehension skills to help them improve their

grammar, and critical thinking when reading illustrated books.

Objective: The objective of this course is to help students understand that writing and reading

both obtain a beginning, middle and an end. We will broaden the students mind including new

vocabulary, punctuation, and correct grammar in not only their writing but their communication

skills. When learning how to write the students will be able to master writing from left to write

and with space and punctuation.
