The Necessity and Value of Prophethood

Q1) Answer the following briefly:

Explain the terms which are the attributes of the Holy Prophet (PBUH).

1. Universal:

The teachings revealed to Prophet Muhammad (SAW) are guidance for all human

beings and have the same importance for all; they are not specified for a special

race, nation or country.

2. Eternal Teachings: 
It means that his teachings are beneficial for all time, for all people right up to the

Day of Judgment. The solution of problems of all ages can be found in the Holy Quran.

3. Comprehensive:

It means that his teachings are totally complete. There is absolutely nothing

lacking or incomplete in the teachings of Islam. There is guidance regarding every

walk of life in the Quran.

4. Seal of Prophet hood:

The line of Prophets ended with Prophet Muhammad (SAW), and no other

messenger or prophets will come after him.

Q2) Why is intelligence or observation not enough for guidance of mankind?

Intelligence and guidance are not enough. The messengers are sources to the

solution of problems which cannot be solved by intelligence or observation. Divine

Messengers are necessary to guide mankind to the right direction. Many people

forgot about the teachings given by the Prophet so people practiced and acted upon

the Quran and other books. The prophets understand, it is their job to teach others

and lead their lives to the Will of Allah.


Q3) Provide evidence for the following statement:

     The Holy Quran is a miracle.

The Holy Quran is a miracle bestowed on the Holy Prophet (SAW). In other words

it can be learnt by heart exactly, word for word,; not even a dot has been changes till

today.
