TEXTBOOK

“Children's ESL Curriculum: Learning English with Laughter”

Children's ESL Curriculum: Learning English with Laughter was published by Daisy Stocker
B.Ed., M.Ed. and George Stocker D.D.S. It’s an interactive textbook designed for ESL students
aged under 12 years old. In this textbook, the authors know the power of a good laugh and
they use it to help children learn. The textbooks is compromised of a student student book,
a practice book and a teacher's guide. It is designed for kids that have never been introduce
to the English language before. It’s loaded with exercises and activities that are designed to
let the students have fun while learning English. The author of this textbook intended to
teach the student in fun and interactive way. This book has a great feature for young learner
when it comes to formatting of content, large font and lots of tracing and coloring
worksheets that is definitely suit for young learners. To generalize, I suggest that a great
textbook should have visually pleasing design that can caught the students attention, a well-
balanced textbook that has consistent unit structure, a good storyline and age-appropriate
materials that are easy to grasp for right students. In summary, textbook like this plays an
important role in teaching and learning. It represents a useful resource for both teachers as
a course designers and learners as persons who are acquiring the English language. It gives a
great contribution in the teaching and learning processes both to the teachers and learners.
