Community organizing and community extensions have always been part of me
since I was in grade school. I always join organizations that focus more on these kinds of activities, so I already have an idea about it. While listening to my interviewee, that knowledge has broadened more. I realized how important these activities in terms of creating a sustainable community. It also supports the strengthening of community relationships by facilitating collaborations among faculty and staff, students, and other university resources. These activities are also a big help in fostering the value of individual families, communities, and organizations acting together to create a meaningful life and livelihood rooted in faith and our community and nature's diversity. Lastly, it cultivates committed and dedicated community leaders who prioritize the common good and bridge social gaps and fragmentation. Community organizing and community extension services make it easier to introduce programs and services aimed at empowering communities, especially the vulnerable ones.
