Parque Nacional Morrocoy
Morrocoy National Park, is a national park
located on the easternmost coast of Falcón. The
climate is warm tropical influenced by the
northeast trade winds, with low rates of
precipitation. Relatively uniform temperature
throughout the year between 27 and 35 ° C. In
cold season temperatures between 23 and 26 °
C can be observed. It was declared a national
park on March 27, 1993 and has 32,090
hectares. The park covers both terrestrial and
aquatic areas of the Golfo Triste, it contains an
area of mangroves and a large number of islets
or keys among which are Borracho, Muerto,
Sombrero, Sal, Las Animas and Peraza, among
others, with spectacular sandy beaches white
areas such as Playa Mero, Paiclás, Punta Brava,
Mayorquina, Playuela, Playuelita, Sur, Norte,
Boca Seca, Playa Muerto and many more; as
well as low-lying areas such as Bajo Caimán,
Tucupido and Los Juanes. In the relief, the
Morrocoy hill stands out, with heights of 250
meters above sea level; the set of inlets and
internal mangroves and the keys and islands.
El Santo Angel.
The Angel Falls is the highest waterfall in the
world, with a height of 979 m, originating in the
Auyantepuy. Average temperatures range
between 21 ° C and 10 ° C, varying with
respect to different levels of altitude (500
meters and 2,800 meters above sea level).
Despite the fact that this waterfall is one of the
biggest tourist attractions in the country, it is
difficult to visit it, since the trip to the falls is
not easy. As the area where it is located is
surrounded by forest, the only way to access it
is by plane from the capital of the country or
from Ciudad Bolívar, to reach a camp in
Canaima.
Auyantepui.
Auyan-tepui or Auyantepui, is the most famous
tepui in Venezuela. It is the largest in the
Guayana massif and is located in the Bolívar
state. The climate is tropical, although it varies
according to the areas. The low areas have high
temperatures that reached an average of 27ºC
and abundant rains, especially in the last
months of the year. It has an altitude of 2,535
meters and a surface area of 700 km². The
highest waterfall in the world falls from its top:
the Kerepakupai Vená, better known as Angel
Falls. This tepui was a source of fear on the part
of the Pemón Indians who avoided approaching
it at all costs because they believed that it was
the home of the Arekuna gods and the Imawarí
evil spirits (they still believe it), because it was
