How can we cope with the “Covid Blues”? How can we avoid feeling depressed, anxious and miserable?

What are the tips to be/feeling happier, healthier and more motivated during these cold winter months?
Our lives and routines have changed since the start of the worldwide pandemic. Not only are people
suffering physically but also mentally and financially as the crisis continues to grow. Embracing the
darkness of winter is not easy, but we can try to see the light at the end of the tunnel by following some
simple tips.

If we really feel down in the dumps, doing physical activities such as running, dancing or simply walking
can really help our body feeling / to feel better. Our body can benefit from physical movement and our
mental well-being can be our medicine to fight depression.

We should do something every day that makes us feeling / feel good. We can boost our mood by taking
a relaxing bath, reading a book, watching a film or cooking a favourite meal. We should start our day
refraining from the use of any technology; instead, why don’t we listen to good music or sing a song out
loud? It’s a great way to release negative toxins from our body!
If we continuously feel tired and generally out of sorts, it’s important to be connected with our loved
ones. We have to find a moment in our day to spontaneously call up a friend, or send an email to people
far away. It can be really difficult to not see / not seeing people during the pandemic, and isolation will
keep us feeling browned-off.

Personally, what motivates me the most, is setting up daily goals even if very simple and small (e.g.
cleaning the house, baking a cake or a special meal for my family, tidying up a room o simply
meditating!)

This is one of the most challenging times in history. If we want to survive those difficult times, we have
to find ways to light up our lives because the only person who can truly take care of ourselves at the end
of the day is us.
