When I will retire, I will probably live in a seaside town, like Fano.

Living by the seaside boosts mental health and makes people more relaxed and happier. When I go
to Fano, one of the activities that I normally do is going to the beach and listen to the sound of waves
(above all in winter when few people are around) no matter if the wheatear is bad. The fresh air, the
waves and the blue shades of the sea make me in a deeply relaxed state. And relaxing help
rejuvenate my mind and my body.

Compared to the countryside, where the risk of being isolated and get bored is very high, in a seaside
town, there are exciting opportunities even in winter. You can have several options to choose from:
shopping, restaurants, theater, museums, clubs, festivals, parks… there is certainly no shortage of
activities that can match someone’s personal interests or hobbies.

Moreover, everything is accessible via public transportation, a short drive or a simple walk. You will
not need to drive for long distance in order to go shopping or see a show.

In summer, Fano offers even more: the Fano beach. No need to spend money in extremely expensive
resorts, the beaches are free and even if they are not the Caribbean, people can enjoy their holidays
by renting a parasol and a beach chair and stay all day long in front of the sun, reading a book, swim,
play beach tennis. During the sunset the atmosphere turns magic: having sprits in front of the orange
sun is the thing to do. And for the nostalgic of the countryside, Fano is surrounded by beautiful and
lush hills. There you can see farm animals grazing, bells that rings regularly and farmers that
sometimes sell their local food.
