1 Application Scenarios and Service

Requirements

Application Scenario
This document applies to scenarios where a large number of small branches need
to communicate with a single or dual HQs/DCs and with each other. In this
document, a single headquarters is deployed, and multiple uplinks are configured
for each branch to connect to the headquarters. Intelligent traffic steering needs
to be configured to preferentially transmit data over the optimal link based on
service needs. In addition, automatic link switchover and switchback are required.

Service Requirements
You are advised to use the multi-campus EVPN Interconnection Solution in the
following scenarios:
● One or two headquarters sites and multiple branch sites are deployed, which
require cross-region interconnection across layers.
● Multiple uplinks are available for branches to access the headquarters, and
multiple tunnels work in active/standby or load balancing mode based on
different links.
● An enterprise has multiple service departments, between which services need
to be isolated.
● Application- and link quality–based intelligent traffic steering and automatic
switchback are required.
