General Learning Outcomes:
GLO A: Students will acquire skills through a variety of developmentally appropriate

Specific Learning Outcomes:
A5-2 consistently and confidently perform locomotor skills and combination of skills, by using

PROCEDURE
Student Differentiation:
NA
Introduction (time: 5 min)
Hook/Attention Grabber: Warm up
Students will warm up by running two laps around the gym.
Students will then sit on the center line and stretch/move using cards from the Alphabet
Animoves – Blackfoot Edition.

Transition to Body: I will provide instructions for the game and direct students in setting up.
Body (time: 21 min)
Learning Activity #1: Split class into four teams (5 min)
The class will be split into four teams – two teams will have pinnies (check to make sure
teams are even).

Learning Activity #2: Hockey Games


Two teams will play hockey at a time (approx. 8-minute games). I will blow my whistle to
initiate switches / transitions. Teams choose their own goalie.
**keep sticks low, after every goal start with a face-off in the center again.

Learning Activity #3: Skill Building


When students are not playing hockey, they will be on the other half of the gym practicing
hockey skills.
** stick handling.
Students will have to use their stick to move a beanbag around cones ( could be turned into a
relay, if time).
Closure (time: 4 min)

Transition To Next Lesson(s): Students will line up, walk to the classroom, sanitize on their
way, and get a drink either from the fountain or their water bottle.
