10.1 Education and Experience:

Mandatory:
 A bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in environmental science,
environmental engineering, natural or social sciences,
sustainability, or related discipline. An advanced degree (Master
degree, or Doctoral degree) is an advantage.

10.2 Adequacy for the assignment:

Mandatory:
 A proven understanding of and skills in project management
cycle, including project design and project monitoring and
evaluation.
 A minimum of eight (8) years of professional experience in a
related field, including approximately five (5) years of
demonstrated experience managing, preparing, overseeing,
and/or reviewing environmental and social impact assessments
for infrastructure, energy, and/or natural resource management
projects, or projects of similar nature.
 The Knowledge of Indonesian environmental and social laws
and regulations, including those relevant to strategic
environmental assessment (Kajian LIngkungan Hidup Strategis –
KLHS), environmental impact assessment (Kajian Dampak
Lingkungan – AMDAL or UKL/UPL), peatland restoration,
greenhouse gasses, workers and public health and safety, natural
resource management, stakeholder engagement, public
consultation, land acquisition and resettlement, indigenous
people, cultural heritage, and gender issues.
 Proven experience with international best practices regarding
environmental guidelines and safeguards, particularly the IFC
Performance Standards, including familiarity with the
management of environmental and social management systems
(ESMS) and environmental and social management plans
(ESMP), environmental and social impact assessments (ESIA),
stakeholder engagement, public consultation, grievance
mechanism, workers and public health and safety, land
acquisition and resettlement, indigenous people, cultural
heritage, and gender issues.
 Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint,
Excel).
 Willingness to undertake regular field visits to remote areas.
