Distractions affecting the Motivation of SHS Students and their link to

Student’s Time Management

Chapter III

The researchers uses the basic interpretive qualitative design in conducting


this research, The results of the study will provide the researchers data’s
and insights on how to motivate the learners to have a good study habits
especially in managing their time to study. This will lead the researchers to
know and study the different way and practices that they can contribute to
the learners, so that even if the amidst of pandemic, it would be easier to
motivate and encourage the learners to attend their online classes and
actively participated.

The study will be conducted on the third week of March to the First
week of April; the researchers will mainly focus on the Gr.12 students of
Don Bosco College Canlubang Senior High school Students Ay: 2020-
2021. The participants of this study are the Gr. 12 Senior High school
students of the Don Bosco College Canlubang Branch for the school year
2020-2021. From a population size of 20. The students from the Science,
Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Strand, Accountancy,
Business and Management (ABM) strand, and Technical-Vocational-
Livelihood (TVL) Track for the study will be chosen.

The researchers will gather all the responses from the participants by
using a survey questioner, the instruments makes use of different types of
questioners, like “Are you motivated to do your asynchronous task? Why?”
Answering these types of questioners will be benefiting the researchers for
finding facts or theorizing new findings regarding to the studies.

The researchers ask for permission to the head of Senior High school
Department and also the Principal of Don Bosco College Canlubang, to
conduct this study through online surveying among to the Gr.12 students of
Don Bosco College Canlubang Ay: 2020-2021
For analyzing the output of the different participants, the researchers
used the Input-Process-Output Method as shown below:
