THE ‘CASE COMPANY’ QUALIFICATION:

 Must have a MINIMUM employment size of 100 persons

 Company MUST have a detailed, dynamic and vibrant website
 Company MUST be involved in manufacturing and / or distribution of tangible
products (no service industry company)
 Company MUST have some global link1 either upstream or down stream

WRITE-UP STRUCTURE

Total write-up: Word Count 3,500 to 4,000 (Changed as per your request)

 Firm Profile: Not more than 100 to 150 words

 Products / Merchandise Detail: Not more than 100 to 150 words
 General Activity or Process of company Not more than 250 to 300 words

Review of literature : Approx. 950 to 1,000 words
 Review of SC driver in the case company: Approx. 950 to 1,000 words
 Analysis: Approx. 850 to 1,000 words
 Conclusion: Approx. 300 to 400 words
 Bibliography

o Names and Contact of Senior persons you talked to
o Photographs of facilities you visited
o Survey questionnaire for interviews (As you feel appropriate)

Global link means the ‘case company’ either should be buying raw material or parts form
outside (import in Pakistan) or selling manufactured goods to outside countries (export from
Pakistan)

Find at least 3 latest “Research Papers” from academic research journals (not blogs or
Wikipedia) related to 6 SC drivers in similar industry which you are working on. Give proper
citation in your text. For knowledge purpose, you can consult blogs and cite them in your reports.

REPORT FORMAT

 The Similarity Index (SI) or plagiarism (I hate this word) MUST be less than 20%
 APA 6 format must be followed for headings with TNR font, size 12, 1.5 space, 1-
inch margin is to be strictly followed.
 No extra marks on report decoration or frills!.

PROJECT DETAIL & TASKS

 First decide company which qualifies given criterion. If you are doubtful then you can
discuss that with me during our next live session (not later)
 Search at least 3 or more latest “Research Papers” through “Google Scholar” or using
any other search engine or on-line library you have access to as student.
 Review these papers and briefly write what they say about Six (6) Supply Chain
drivers in a similar industry
 Review the status of existing SC drivers (including extent of IT utilization) in the
‘case company’ (Don’t forget the importance of “Information” driver)
 Identify the efficiencies and deficiencies of target company’s SC drivers
 Compare and Critically analyze the existing state of various drivers and related
procedures with theoretical knowledge you gained through review of “Research
Papers”

NOTE

It is to be submitted either as “Project/Assignment” which I (will) create or through

Turnitin or I might ask you to mail to me through your C.R.. I will let you know
which way to go (I will create a Turnitin account for on-line submission)

Last date of submission is April 16, 2021 (No excuses, whatsoever, for late submission)

Presentation on your report will be (hopefully) on the next week after submission. The
presentation date will depend on your final exam schedule
