High Definition Multimedia Interface

HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface) is a


proprietary audio/video interface for transmitting
uncompressed video data and compressed or
uncompressed digital audio data from an HDmI-
compliant source device, such as a display controller,
to a compatible computer monitor.

Serial Advanced Technology Attachment

SATA. Stands for "Serial Advanced Technology


Attachment," or "Serial ATA." It is an interface used
to connect ATA hard drives to a computer's
motherboard. SATA transfer rates start at 150MBps,
which is significantly faster than even the fastest
100MBps ATA/100 drives.
Ethernet

An Ethernet port (also called a jack or socket)


is an opening on computer network
equipment that Ethernet cables plug into.
Their purpose is to connect wired network
hardware in an Ethernet LAN, metropolitan
area network (MAN), or wide area network
(WAN).
