of CO₂ pressure.

STANDARD OPERATIONAL SUCTION INSTALLATION PROCEDURES

A. DEFINISI
Suction is the act of sucking mucus in the airway.

B. PURPOSE
Removing a secret or fluid in the airway
Smoothing the airway

C. INDICATION
The patient is unconscious
Patients who are unable to pass mucus on their own

D. TOOL PREPARATION
1. The instrument tub contains: 2 pieces of anatomical tweezers, enough gauze
2. NaCl or boiled water
3. Kanul suction
4. Suction machine
5. Tissue
6. Gloves
7. Plaster and padding

E. HOW IT WORKS
1. Check the patient's therapy program
2. Wash your hands
3. Prepare the equipment
4. Greet and greet the patient's name
5. Explain the objectives and implementation procedures
6. Give the patient a slightly extended head position
7. Give oxygen 2 - 5 L / m
8. Place a pad under the patient's chin
9. Wear gloves
10. Turn on the suction machine, check the pressure and the container bottle
11. Carefully insert the suction canal (nose about 5 cm, mouth about 10 cm)
12. Suction mucus by closing the cannula hole, pull it out slowly while rotating (children
around 5 seconds, adults about 10 seconds)
13. Rinse the cannula with NaCl, allow the patient to breathe
14. Repeat the suction procedure 3-5 times
15. Observe the patient's general condition and respiratory status

3. Explain to the client about the procedure and the sensations that will be felt during the
infusion
4. Position the patient / lie down
5. Prepare fluids by connecting the bottle of liquid to the IV tube and hang it on the standard
infusion
6. Determine the area of the vein to be punctured
7. Install the base
8. Install a ± 15 cm damping tournament above the vein to be pierced
9. Wear gloves

STANDARD OPERATIONAL PROCEDURESBLOOD TRANSFUSION

A. UNDERSTANDING
Blood transfusion is an action performed for clients who need blood by infusing blood through a
vein using a transfusion set.
B. PURPOSE
1. Increases circulating blood volume (after surgery, trauma, or bleeding).
2. Increase the number of red blood cells and to maintain hemoglobin levels in severely anemic
clients.
3. Providing certain cellular components as replacement therapy (eg, clotting factors to help
control bleeding in hemophilia patients).
C. TOOL PREPARATION
1. Large catheter (18G or 19G)
2. Normal copy IV fluid (Nacl 0.9%)

4. The right blood products
5. Disposable gloves
6. Cotton alcohol
7. Plaster
8. Blood pressure cuff
9. Stethoscope
10. Thermometer
11. Signed format for the approval of the transfusion
D. PROCEDURE
1. Explain the procedure to the client, assess whether or not the client has received a previous
transfusion and record the reactions that arise

10. Measure the client's baseline vitals
11. Apply the normal saline first. Start giving transfusions slowly
begins with filling the filter in the hose
12. Set the speed to 2ml / min for the first 15 minutes and stick with the client.
13. Monitor vital signs every 5 minutes during the first 15 minutes of transfusion,
then measure every hour.
14. Maintain the programmed infusion rate by using an infusion pump.
15. Remove and discard gloves, wash hands.
