- Literature search is a key step in performing good authentic research. It helps in formulating

a research question and planning the study. The available published data are enormous; therefore, choosing the

appropriate articles relevant to your study in question is an art.

3. Differentiate the different data collection and statistical tools used to support nursing research.

- An online survey is a questionnaire that the target audience can complete over

the Internet. Online surveys are usually created as Web forms with a database to store the answers and

statistical software to provide analytics. A Digital poll allows you to ask one multiple choice question. Participants

can choose from among answers that you predefine. You can restrict voters to select just one answer to your

question or allow them to choose multiple answers. SurveyMonkey is a tool that allows users to create their own

surveys using question format templates. Data processing refers to the process of performing specific operations

on a set of data or a database. A database is an organized collection of facts and information, such as records on

employees, inventory, customers, and potential customers.
