1. Firewall
2. SSL
3. Telnet or secure shell

Answer

1. A firewall is a security system that protects your computer from various threats on the internet
network. This firewall works as a barrier or wall that limits computers from the internet network.
A firewall is a device that is placed between the Internet and the internal network (See Figure 4.1
on page 65). Information that comes out or comes in must go through this firewall.

Firewalls work by observing IP (Internet Protocol) packets that pass through them. Based on the
configuration of the firewall access can be arranged based on IP address, port, and direction
information. The details of the configuration depend on each firewall.

2. SSL TLS is Transport Layer Security that secures data privacy, while SSL stands for Secure
Sockets Layer which refers to a type of digital security that allows encrypted communication
between websites and web browsers.

3. Telnet or remote login is used to access a "remote site" or computer through a computer

Information about userid and password these are transmitted over the open network of
computers. The result is possible a naughty person does “sniffing” and collects information about
a partner this user id and password.
