No one should not legally force someone to give away some of their

money. I don’t believe that someone should do some charity works just
because he or she is obligated. Because charity is not something that is
done with obligation. It is something that someone does when he or she
morally accepted that they should help fellow humans. I, personally, hate to
operate from the theory of obligation. We think not of what we are obliged
to do but how we can best serve our neighbor and be a gift to the other. If
we operate in that way, whatever we do give becomes a source of growth
for the other (given we donate with wisdom and prudence) and for
ourselves as well as we become people more concerned about the other
than wealth development. To be honest, I am pretty sure we end up more
happy as well. And authentic happiness or joy is a sign we have found what
is morally good and right.
