Interview Plan

Jjk

For the interview plan I want to be able to map out my documentary,

to show my thought process. This diagram will also be helpful to Pat
Casey who will helping out as a camera operator. On the left side I
drew out a simple, straight forward layout of how Myrtle interview
should be set up from her home. The circle labelled M is where
Myrtle will be placed as she faces her laptop, and the first camera is
placed to capture a front shot of her using her laptop as she talks.
The second camera will get a side profile shot of Myrtle and the third
camera will be a behind shot of Myrtle capturing her location,
equipment shown and herself. The lighting will be placed on the
right-hand side that will be directed towards her face; this will allow
the cameras to gain the right exposure through lighting which is
really important. The audio recorder should be placed on the table,
so it is still and isn’t moving. Placing it directly under her face of
where she is talking will be easier for me to capture the best audio
quality possible. I made sure I labelled each object I drew for it to be
very clear of what I am hoping to achieve. On the right-hand side of
the page, I drew three boxes giving examples of how I intend on
using the framing within the filming, this will be really helpful and
easier for Pat Casey to understand as she is the camera operator for
my documentary. There are three simple shots, so that Pat will only
need to make sure she positions three cameras in the correct
position and framing. In the first image, the subject, Myrtle will be
placed towards the left-hand side of the frame which gives the right
side of the shot a clear view of the computer and the mobile device
she will be using to capture a side profile shot of her talking in the
interview. In the second shot, this will show Myrtle to be in the right
centre of the frame in a close up shot that will capture her facial
expression. This will be shot on a mobile phone. And the third shot
will show Myrtle in the centre of the frame showing her to be on her
laptop and give a clearer view on her setting.
