Throughout the lives of people, there can be stress from work, school, family members,
etc. but there can be many ways to solve those stressful anxiety. Stress, anxiety, and depression
can be a hard task to overcome when it gets to its boiling point. In an article named “Health
Benefits of Fishing” written by Ontario Parks, in July of 2020, states that fishing can be an
escape route to those stressful events. Fishing is a form of relaxation and meditation to reduce
mental illness. The simple activity of fishing can cure stress, anxiety, depression, and mental
illness contributes to the act of effectiveness of “Health benefits of Fishing” by Ontario Parks.
Relieving stress seems like a hard task to do, but fishing is an activity that can help
reduce it. Fishing is a patient sport to participate in, and during that patient wait it can reduce the
mindset from reality and soak in the moment. It will clear the mind and allow the person to
appreciate the environment, the great outdoors. Being outside in the wilderness will build the
mindset to be happy with themselves, and appreciate the little things in life. Fishing will allow
your mindset to focus on the present instead of the past, it brings focus to live in the moment.
