• Use polite words when asking for something such as “please” and “thank you”
• Help someone when they need help
• Do not leave others out
• No yelling
• Listen to your teacher and to one another

• Never give up when you do not understand
• Ask for help
• Turn in assignments

old clothes and shoes

Tips to protect environment at home


#7 Morning Routine

▪ Check posted schedule on whiteboard


▪ Turn in homework from night before into homework basket
▪ Fill your water bottle for the day
▪ Assigned plant monitor: check on class plants for watering
▪ Sharpen pencils for the day
▪ Clear off desk so it’s nice and tidy to start
▪ Say “good morning” to your neighbors
#8 End of Day Routine

▪ Write down tonight’s homework assignments


▪ Put homework in your backpack
▪ Put away all supplies
▪ Dump out water bottles so they are ready for morning
▪ Assigned board cleaner- wipe off whiteboard
▪ Turn off lights
▪ Line up for dismissal
▪ Tell your classmates goodbye and wish them a nice rest of their day
#9 Judgment-Free Zone
• Everyone is welcome in our classroom
• Everyone is accepted for what they look like or how they dress
• Respect everyone’s background and cultures
• If you have questions, ask politely
• It’s okay to share things with your teacher and your class if you choose
• Your teacher is always available if you need her or need to speak privately.
