Seventh 

Chords

A Seventh Chord is a four­note chord created by adding
the 7th note of a scale to its triad.

There are five types of seventh chords:

Major 1  3  5  7
Dominant 1  3  5  b7 (lowered 7th)
Minor 1 b3  5  b7 (lowered 3rd & 7th)
Half Diminished 1 b3 b5  b7 (lowered 3rd, 5th & 7th)
Fully Diminished 1 b3 b5 bb7 (lowered 3rd & 5th, 7th
                                                                              lowered twice)

      (minor 7 flat 5)
