1) Admiralty Sailing Directions : Does not take account of special needs of hovercraft,
submarines underwater, deep draughted tows, and other special vessels. Complementary
to Charts and other Publications.
2) Admiralty List of Lights and Fog Signals: The latest known details of lights, light
structures, light vessels, light floats. LANBY’s and light buoys. A geographical range
table and luminous range diagram are contained in each volume.
3) Admiralty List of Radio Signals:

Each Volume is divided into 3 parts:

Part 1 - Tide Times and Heights at Standard Ports
Part II – Predictions at Secondary Ports
PartIII – Principle Harmonic Constants
5) Ocean Passages for the World : Provides a selection of commonly used routes with
distances. Contains details of weather, currents, ice hazards and links to Sailing
Directions. Also gives information on Loadline Rules and Weather Routeing etc.
6) Admiralty Distance Tables : Gives shortest navigable distances between Chief ports etc.
May differ from Ocean Passages for the World which though longer, take advantage of
favourable climatic conditions and currents.
7) The Nautical Almanac : Tabulates all data for the year required for Astronomical
Navigation at sea.
8) Starfinder and Identifier : Diagrams on which the 57 stars on the daily pages of the
almanac, and on which positions of the other stars and planets can be added. For a given
LHA (Aries) and latitude, the elevation and true bearing of a star can be obtained by
inspection.
