All India Institute of Local Self Government, Mumbai invites applications for the following:

Post: Programme Manager/ Sr. Research Officer or equivalent

Location: Bandra, Mumbai

Employment details: The appointment will be on contractual full time basis for a period of one year
and can be extended further based on the performance and requirement.

Position Requirements:
 Qualifications required: Masters in planning/environmental engineering/ public policy or
equivalent
 At least 5-7 years of work experience in urban sector
 Good know how of working with State and Local Governments in urban services like water,
sanitation and solid waste management.
 Effective programme development/ implementation/ project handling and management/
monitoring skills.
 Excellent quantitative and qualitative analysis and report writing skills
 Good command over English, Hindi and Marathi.
 Good communication skills (written and oral).
 Preference will be given to candidates who have worked with Urban Local Bodies in UWSS.
 A team player who is adaptable and research oriented

Work Profile/ Responsibilities:

 Project conceptualization, management and implementation
 Leading various activities under the projects in sanitation and other urban services
 Working with a responsibility of leading a team and delivering quality output within time
 Working with various Government Authorities, industries, NGOs, donors and other
stakeholders
 Assisting States and cities in formulating and implementing strategies and action plans
 Monitoring progress in achieving the envisaged targets
 Organizing and managing seminars/ workshops for Urban Local Bodies and other stakeholders.
 Providing capacity building support to States and cities.
 Undertaking any other work required to achieve the desired output under the projects
