WRITING TASK 1 – TABLE (IMRAN AMIN)

The diagram below explains the outcome of a 20-years study into why adults in the UK attend arts
events. It is measured in percentage

Overall, it can be observed that adults have high enthusiast toward arts because they want to see
their favourite artist performance for the last 20-years ago until today. Meanwhile they do not have
much reason to go to the arts performance because of work or business.

On the one hand, the number of people between seventeen to twenty three years old that have
attended the arts performance because of special artist were declined slightly from 58% to 56%
since the past two decades until today. In addition, there are similar pattern for the special occasion
or celebration which extremely decreased, from 20% in the past 10 years to 9% in the present time.

On the other hand, the amount of adults that have gone to the arts for accompanying children was
rose like a rocket around 6% in ten years ago and today has increased around 9%. Besides, a slow
growth for the work or business category around 5 % from the last three decades until today.
