Chp.1
Correlation the video chapter one
with Mind your languange
Communication is the process of creating meaning
Meaning is contextual it can be change depending of the context and culture
is one of big thing who change it
Human are not perfect it also happen to the way they communicate and
Culture can defined as a community of meaning makers
Cultures create the stable sets of understanding of the world such as
language, nationality, geographic region, sex , gender, religion, status, and etc.
Studying intercultural communication can help us become better
communicators.
Culture of gender and sexual
orientation : Gender identity is being male, female, or genderqueer. How to distinguish
gender is usually based on norm of clothes, behavior and interaction (feminine or
masculine). For example, Max looks very masculine when he said “I’ll kill a man who put
you in a big trouble” when his girl friend said she was in big trouble.

Culture of religion :
Every religion has their rules to regulate behavior and give a life values. The person who
believe must obey that rules. For example, Ranjeet forced to be getting merried
according to the Sikh tradition. He said “According to Sikh tradition, I was betrohed when
I was 12 to Surinder, the 10 year daughter of the best friend of my father”. Ranjeet want to
kill himself because He won’t to marry her, but it is about rules in his religion.
Different accents
The way they communicate through pronouncing or pronouncing
different spoken sounds affects a particular culture. for example, like the Indian
accent by Singh which has an accent whose pronunciation sounds like it has a
certain tone, a Chinese accent where the sound is not pronounced with the
letter R, Japanese accent pronunciation which adds several letters or removes
certain letters such as Taro. and there are still several other accents that
make the pronunciation of the sound different even though they speak English.
Sully the Chinese student.
From the video we can see that she won't buy Hong
Kong's product because she hates Capitalist country
so much like Hong Kong. and the correlation with
udemy because the different nation system and
culture.
The Japanese guy
In the video he was talking about suicide tradition
called "hara kiri" or "sppuku" when the samurai tear
their stomach with katana.

The Indian guy

In India they also have unique tradition, that is wedding
culture and consequences if he unwilling to marry her, he
will be assassinated and targeted by Sarindra’s father.
He is one of students that steal my attention
because he's undirectly do the satire about the news
because he said "news paper is a big liar" well we
agree about that because sometimes they do that to
cover another issues or to save someone.

well the udemy video actually mention about

"Meaning is contextual it can be change depending
of the context".
The characters are harsh stereotypes, it just makes us
realize what Mr may not be aware of. Brown. Although
the students are both in the classroom learning English,
teaching languages to people from different cultural
backgrounds is much more than just taking tests or
teaching vocabulary with teaching aids
Mr. Brown is described as often confused when he
accidentally offends his students or becomes confused,
because he often interacts with imposing British (white)
thought patterns and culture. Mr. Brown demanded that
his students meet British standards in their education,
but the effort proved not easy
This series is a tradition of British sitcom humor that
satirizes and destroys socio-cultural aspects. The
polite and stiff English character is made upset
when dealing with something they find unfamiliar.
Mr. Brown and Ms. Courtney is described as an
Englishman who they often view the foreign
students' behavior in an absurd manner, but when
interacting with them, they are often confused.
Chp.2 Culture involves Beliefs
(ideas that assume to be true about the worlds)
The occurrence of conflicts between Sikhs and Muslim people. Relate to
Religious violence in India includes acts of violence by followers of one
religious group against followers and institutions of another religious
group, often in theformofrioting.ReligiousviolenceinIndiahasgenerally
involved Hindus and Muslims. Ranjeet Singh as SikhsandAliasaMuslim
"Ali is happy to help Ranjeet to kill himself."

腹切り
Harakiri ( , "abdomen or belly cutting", a native Japanese reading),
is a form of Japanese ritual suicide bydisembowelment. Anotherwordis
Seppuku as a ritual attire. Harakiri as Culture involves the beliefs. In the
video, Taro is a Japanese person who has a belief by Japanese culture
that Harakiri is to restore his good name after a failure to carry out his
duties and/or mistakes for the benefit of the people.
Culture involves social practices
(predictable behavioral patterns a society follows.)

The Roman orRomanlanguagefamily(sometimesreferredtoastheLatin

family, orNeo-Latin)isabranchoftheIndo-Europeanlanguagefamily,isa
language that grows and develops from Latin. The most famous Roman
languages are French, Spanish, Italian, PortugueseandRomanian.Maxas
an Italian feels that the Roman language is more authentic to Italy than
Juan as a Spanish.

Taro as the Japanese alludes to "American embassy full of little insects."

There is still a gap between Japan and America because of the historyof
World War 2 which involved wars between these two countries.
Culture involves Value and Social Practice
This practice of marrying someone from one’s own community, clan, or
tribe while rejecting others as unsuitable is known as endogamy.
Endogamy has been prevalent in Indian society for the past 2000-3000
years and is still widely accepted as a legitimate requirement for getting
married. Since arranged marriages have been a part of our culture for
centuries, it is often considered shameful to marry someone that one’s
parents haven’t chosen for them. When someone ends up rejecting the
idea of forced marriage or arranged marriage, it quickly gets seen as a
personal offence to the parents, creating tension within the family. And
they would rather commit suicide when they don't want to be arranged
with someone they do not love.
