The 21st Century is also known as an era of technology.

This era is characterized by rapid

changes resulting from ICT progress and information technology, so it became necessary for the
education system to deal with these changes to address the problems that may arise from them, such as
a large number of information and exceeding the number of learners and the lack of teachers and
distances (IRJCS,2016). Modern technology has greatly improved people`s lives through different fields
such as society, education, work, industry, etc.

The technology was made to lessen the human effort. The transfer of knowledge becomes very
fast and convenient. But the question is, is modern technology has an effect on students` Academic
Performance? We witness the students learning nowadays, which is Online Learning and Modular
learning, students rely on the internet to gather information by using technology. There`s no denying
that these technological devices have become an important role in students` learning (Impact of
Modern Technology in Education,2018). There many possible effects on using technology. Basically, it is
a two-edged sword and they have to know how to use each technology for their benefits and shouldn’t
abuse its use. They should be responsible for using it.

The problem of this case, some students were facing problem-solving but the evidence suggests
problem-based learning is an instructional approach that offers the potential to help students develop
flexible understanding and lifelong learning skills, and also it helps students develop skills for leaving in a
knowledge. It has passively learning facts and it is no longer sufficient to prepare students to survive in
today’s world. Probably it is because today’s life was having a big difference before (THE EFFECTS OF
TECHNOLOGY IN INQUIRY BASED LEARNING PROCESS,2019). Like for now, it is easy to learn because
some technology was formed and otherwise, it is easy to memorize those things because of today’s
happenings.

Education coupled with technology is overall a very positive thing. It's still in relative infancy and
progress will continue to move forward making better systems. Teachers will still retain control over
learning. The school of 10 years ago looks very different from schools today. Students are being
inundated with technology at a very young age. The transition has already begun. Education of the
future will be delivered with current information delivered through traditional teaching methods and
fantastic technological tools.
