1. What was the change brought to the organization? How did it impact
the organization?
Visual planning(VP), a new project management tool was implemented in the
organization. Visual programming has physical attributes like activities and
questions. This attributes are posted on the wall so that all the coworkers, who are
involved in the project can see and will know on what should they focus on
currently and latest updates. Before using the visual planning the contractor,
himself used to make the time table and allot the time for the subcontractors but
with VP, the subcontractor himself can allot his own time and complete the project
in shorter time.
2. Was the change controlled? What control procedure was adopted by the
company?
The change in the organization was controlled by the Watzlawick’s first and
second order of change. It is widely used to define the accurate borders of the
system. This is because different systems within the same organization can be
affected in separate extents to a change, thus resulting in both a change of the first
and second order. VP implementation in a project organization is a second order
change because in the organization we are changing the way we schedule the shifts
from contractor to subcontractor thus changing the way project team work and
think.
 3. Do you think the change was for defect rectification or enhancement?
What corrective measure would you suggest implementing the change
in a better manner?
No, the change is not for the defect rectification but it is for enhancement as we are
trying to complete the project in short period. The corrective measure I would
suggest are, first divide the contractors to subcontractors according to theirs rank
and divide the work accordingly to them. Divide the target in to sub-targets and
achieve them. In this way you divide the work to all the individuals and all the
individuals are involved in the project and everyone have their own responsibility.
So, the project work is completed in shorter time.
