Dear Captain Holmlund, Jordan R:

My name is Juan E. Torres Garcia, and I am writing to introduce myself. I am excited

to begin my career and motivated to accomplish the many missions given to me.

I graduated from Ana G. Mendez University in Puerto Rico; I completed a Master's in

Finance and earned my commission through the Rio Piedras, ROTC. I'm the first in my
family to join the military. Before becoming an officer, I was prior service with the
national guard of Puerto Rico, where I served for four years and ten months as Military
Police. I have a daughter; her name is Katalina Torres Ortiz. She's one month old. My
wife's name is Kiara Ortiz Mejias.

Currently, I am attending Quartermaster BOLC with a graduation date of February 3,

2021. After graduation, I plan to arrive at the  215th Combat Support Battalion, FSB Fort
Hood, Texas, no later than February 7, 2021. I look forward to joining the team and will
serve where it is necessary. I aim to build a cohesive team through mutual trust in which
every soldier can grow and learn from one another.
