Entry-Level Assessment of Quadratic Functions

Each student will create a Padlet with whatever layout they desire and try to answer 3 of the 5
following prompts:
1. When you hear “quadratic function” what comes to your mind?
2. What can a quadratic function look like?
3. How many solutions can a quadratic function have?
4. What is a real-life example of what a quadratic function models
5. How are quadratic functions different from linear functions? The same?
6. Write an example of a quadratic function.
7. What are two numbers whose product is 10 and whose sum is -7?
These Padlets should have the prompt clearly written and its response. Do not stress if your
answer might be “wrong” since this is just to see where your understanding is prior to beginning
the quadratics section.
