Essay About Me, Planning and Career

Born and name Muhammad Afif Danial Bin Muhammad Taufiq , I am the second son of
Muhammad Taufiq Bin Abdullah and Zamzuraini Bt Mahmud. I was born on 28th December
2002 in Alor Setar, Kedah. I stayed with family in Jitra, Kedah. My father a lecturer in IPG
Kampus Darulaman and my mother is a teacher in SK Kubang Teduh Alor Setar Kedah.

I was receiving early education at Ceria Bistari Kindergarden when at the age of 4 years old to 6
years old. After that, I started my primary education at SJKC Keat Hwa (S) from standard 1 to
standard 3. Then I went to SK Taman Uda from standard 4 to standard 6. During the year 2014, I
took the UPSR examination and I passed with flying colours to score 5A’s. I furthered my
secondary education at MRSM Kubang Pasu, Jitra, Kedah in the year 2015. This school made me
independent and adaptable because I stayed in hostel from form 1 to form 5 and I was given
the responsibilities to become Committee Member of College Prefects Board.

I’ve been listed as one of the best student in Principal Award starting from form three to form
five after I achieved CGPA 3.5 above in every semester examination. The excellent results
continued when I got 9A’ 1B in my PT3 examination and 9A’s in SPM.

When I was in Form 4 and form 5, I was so active in co-curricular activities. I have represented
the college as the facilitator in the District Level Brighter SAMA Programme, attended the
College Career Workshop and represented the college in the National Level Chemistry Quiz.
Besides, I also represent the college in competition Nadwah Islamiah and Ihtifal Mini Ulul Albab
in state level.

Other than that, I participated in the Nation Tranformation Training Programme for MRSM
students organized by Biro Tatanegara Jabatan Perdana Menteri at Kem Bina Negara, Balik
Pulau, Pulau Pinang. I can learn to be a responsible citizen of the country. There also I was able
to learn and recognize myself in more detail. Besides that I also get to know the attitudes of
students can excel in further education.

It has always been my ambition to be a chemical engineer. Both an aspiring engineer and a
maniac of Chemical, Physics and Mathematics, I wish to become a master of intricate expertise
who can combine these disciplines into innovatively scientific applications. Hoping to work in a
respectable company in future, I plan to obtain a first class degree in chemicals engineering
from a reputable and government-accredited university in the France and come back to
Malaysia as a registered engineer by Board of Engineers Malaysia, BEM. After several years of
working experience in large industrial companies and an Ir. title in hand, I want to set up a
research-based business, preferably with my brother or colleagues with the main intention to
contribute to my nation’s economic growth. I realize that this is a duty of noble respect and I
need to work very hard to accomplish it; my mission,a national mission.

I want to pursue my study in engineering in a prestigious university in the France, a country

famous for its massive findings in technology and science. But first, why over-sea? Well,
studying abroad, as to me, is all about broadening my horizon of thinking, globalising my point
of view, gaining new insights and outlooks through cross-cultural relationships and putting me
in a position where there is no one I can cling to, except to myself – shaping me to become a
well-developed adult, spiritually, mentally and physically.
That is all about me, my education and career planning. I hereby put my hope in Allah, for I
know Allah knows what is best for me. I will strive with all my strength to fulfil my dream.
Surely, if I were given a chance to get this scholarship, I will it as a responsibility for my nation,
specifically for Malays. I am confidence that with the right intention, enough hard-work and
aspiration along with tawakkal to My Lord, I will become a successful chemical engineer.
