ESSAY

The bigger the school the better the education.

he biggest lies that the educative society presents to vulnerable parents. The only lessons I learnt
from the ‘’bigger school’’ was the lie that

You cannot do it.

Four words that haunted me throughout my middle grade. Name Called Unclever by teachers,
bullied by socially hierarchical classmates, no matter any attempt I Made it was shut down.

This went as an everyday routing until I picked up a virtual video game where I could interact with
others anonymously and speak with no barriers. A communicative and supportive environment was
born where I could build and develop upon. A eureka struck upon me.

I learnt there were other ways to learn how to improve upon the art of communication as well as
learning how to imitate personality traits till it becomes a personal attribute. All that was needed
was an environment where a person is not judged upon and is allowed the freedom to grow.

So instead of just sticking with the ‘’Big’’ school environment, which was detrimental to me, I left it
to pursue my studies in a growing environment.

So, I switched to a small-town school. This school was in its development stages, a small staff scale
and a moderate number of students with lower hierarchical standards. The transformative change
in my life had been set in motion.

Now this school was of the ‘’smaller’’ kind, but they kept repeating these words that changed my life
and many others.

You can do it.

As time went on, I understood, it was not hard speaking to people, nor it is not hard to comprehend
a subject of study it is the barriers that we put up in our vision that halts us from speaking to
someone, and it is also within us that halts us from accomplishing a goal. To break those barriers we
need someone, or something that allows us to retrospect in peace and get out of this cycle of
pessimism.

My grades went on an all time high, my classmates where not just my colleagues but also friends
that I could hold up to a lifetime. Most of all when I completed my high-school, I left not only as a
student but as a mentor.

The goal of studies is not just to learn and work, but to learn to teach. That is how the
Master/student cycle continues. That is how pure knowledge is transferred upon the generations.

We do not only learn subjects from our day-to-day life, but we also learn the subtle personality traits
from people we see and meet every day. So, to build ourselves in a better way the mould must be
favourable to us.
And the only empirical way to do this is, to first search for an ideal environment for the grassroots of
our Character to be built. Once that is done, we can reach a point where we can convert any parched
environment of negativity, into one of an enriched positivity farm. Where positivity can bloom and
talents to be seeded into individuals. At the current stage I am, I can say I am still one of the students
learning to be one of the greats who can transform others as once did mine change. I must search
for such environments to bring upon a holistic development of my perspectives.

Moving into the small city school gave me the opportunity to host and anchor events where I could
improve my public speaking, and my new colleagues and I were given the opportunity to conduct
these events unsupervised allowing us to build our practical team building skills and a sense of
solidarity when we conducted them. This allowed me to understand how each person functions as a
cog in part of a large and beautiful machine of productivity and efficiency.

It was there I found out my passion for business management, where I could repeat this in my life,
where I can learn, teach, work and lead people and be part of this wonderful cycle of life, and I
believe the next step awaits me at HULT where I can embark on this voyage of education and
personality development once more into a level that would transcend what I was before.
