Topic: New Media and Social Media

Lesson Learning Outcome: Students are able to write about the relationship between language
and media, especially, relating to the function of language on new media and social media.

In online learning, this can be done by the lecturer using presentation slides uploaded to

3. Questions and Answers about the presentation or summary (SIKOLA Forum) (50 Minutes)
4. Closing (10 minutes).

5. Assignment: Lecturers assign students to write an essay about the relationship between
language and social media, especially, relating to the function of language based on the
discussion, and by reflecting on their own experiences. Students work in groups, and prepare
presentation slides containing the main points in their essay (estimated Time: 120 minutes)

6. Independent Learning: Reading various sources related to the assignment topics

(Estimated Time = 60 minutes)
