Students are able to write about the relationship between language and social media, especially,
relating to the function of language on new media.

Teaching and Learning Activities:

Before class: The lecturer shares the presentation slides in a WA Group made by some groups
of students after watching video ‘The Rise of Social Media.’

1. Opening (10 minutes)

2. Students read their friends’ presentation slides. Then, using SIKOLA forum or WAG, they
comment and ask questions their friends, and answer questions about their presentation. Lecturer
monitors the discussion process, and gives direction or information as necessary. (75
minutes). And read this information about social media to describe more about the subject :

3. Closing (15 minutes)
