Otter

Otters are kind of animals that semi aquatic, the truth is they are mammals, that live in
river or sea. They are carnivore so they can eat about 100 grams fish for one hours. They will
spend about 3 until 5 hours for one day to search fish . even they spend a lot of time to search
fish, they will make time for building their home too.

there are many kinds of otters species, such as Pteronura brasiliensis, Lutra
sumatranan, Lontra felina, Lontra provocax, Lontra longicaudis, Enhydra lutris and many
more. They have 13 species of 7 genus, the different between other species is about size, the
habitat. For example Pteronura brasiliensis is a species that has giant size, Enhydra lutris is
type of otter that lives in sea, Lutra sumatranan can be found in Sumatra and it has hairy
nose. There so many kind of species and each species has the different characteristic and
unique.

otter and civet is look alike, but otter foot is shorter than civet and its has claw and
membrane to help otter for swim (except the sea otter), they has a long and muscular tail,
their down hair can prevent the water and keep dry. Usually it has brown rough hair, small
teeth, mustache, small ears, and small eyes too. That makes otter are cute and being loved by
human.

Otter is a kind and tame animal, but they can be aggressive too, they are energetic,
and very active to hunt their food in otter’s habitat. Otter like to spend their time in land, but
sea otter like to spend their time in sea. They like to eat fish for main course, and they like to
eat frog, shrimp, and crab for snack.
