A Purchase order (PO) is a financial document that is completed by a buyer (e.g.


customer), who wants to purchase goods and/or services from a seller (e.g. company).
The purchase order indicates types, quantities, and agreed upon prices of the goods
and/or services that the seller will provide to the buyer. When a PO is accepted by the
seller, it forms a contract between the buyer and seller.

Upon completion of this assignment, you will be able to:

 Identify key terminology used in purchase orders.


 Complete a purchase order.
 Calculate sales taxes.
 Add, subtract, multiply, and divide decimals.
 Calculate savings.

assigned. Late assignments will be assessed a 20% penalty for up to two days. After two
days a grade of zero will be assigned.
