To Whom It May Concern:

I am writing this letter on behalf of Mr. Rafael Jimenez and it is a pleasure and privilege to do so. I
became acquainted with Rafael this year, as he is a student in my English class. He is motivated,
organized, and very responsible. He works hard to maintain his GPA of a 3.94 and he rarely misses a day
of school.

Rafael has a warm and genuine personality and adapts easily to any situation. He demonstrates his
competence, energy and commitment to others in every task he undertakes. He is diligent in getting his
work done and it is a pleasure to have him as a student. His goal is to attend a four year college and get a
degree in Criminology with hopes of becoming a homicide detective. He will be the first in his family to
attend and graduate from college. He is bilingual in both English and Spanish which is such a desirable
skill for employment.

Rafael’s motivation in the academic arena, as well as in his personal life is impressive and it shows in
everything he does. I believe that Rafael should be at the top of any group of applicants when being
considered for a scholarship or job. Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you should have further
