The cluster can be configured as Unicast, Multicast and Multicast with IGMP.

Unicast mode is best for machines that have two network adapters where one
of those adapters is connected to the cluster and the other is not.

Multicast is best for machines with only one adapter

IGMP Multicast can be used with network switches that support this feature. IGMP
Multicast
will only run network packets through ports configured for NLB. This reduces the
possibility
of flooding by better segmenting the network traffic.

Clusters can be stopped, started, suspended, resumed and drainstopped.

Drainstopping a cluster means
preventing new connections to a cluster while allowing existing ones to continue
and complete. Once
the existing client connections end, then the cluster is stopped.

A host within can also be drainstopped.

Suspending a node means that no administrative commands will be issued to the host,
except for the resume
command and some queries about the node.

Cluster activity can be logged. Turn on logging via NLB console> options> log
settings
