c r o - e s p a c i o e s l a d i s t a n c i a que e x i s t e e n t r e l o s i n d i v i d u o s
c o n s i d e r a d o s en s u s r e l a c i o n e s c o t i d i a n a s . La o r g a n i z a c i ó n
d e l e s p a c i o en r e l a c i ó n con c i u d a d e s , c a l l e s , e d i f i c i o s , par-
q u e s , e t c . , y e s t o s mismos i n d i v i d u o s , r e c i b e e l nombre d e m&
c r o e s p a c i o (1). O t r o término r e l a c i o n a d o con e l prtmero es
e l d e e s p a c i o p e r s o n a l que s e o r i g i n 6 p a r a denominar a l espa-
c i o que rodea d e forma inmediata a l i n d i v i d u o y a l c u a l é s t e
s i e n t e como p r o p i o ( 2 ) . E s t e mismo concepto s e u t i l i z a en p s i
c o l o g í a comparada para d e s c r i b i r l a d i s t a n c i a que un o r g a n i s -
mo v i v o s i t G a e n t r e é l mismo y l o s demás organismos d e l a m i s
ma e s p e c i e ( 3 ) y que o t r a s v e c e s toma también e l nombre d e
zona d e contencidn c o r p o r a l - d e l i n g l e s "body b u f f e r zone" -
como su e q u i v a l e n t e o sin6nimo (1). Relacionado con e l concep
t o d e e s p a c i o personal,^ procedente d e l a e t o l o q í a , e s t á e l
d e t e r r i t o r i o , que s e r e f i e r e a l a conducta que d e s a r r o l l a n
l o s animales o r i e n t a d a a l a d e f e n s a d e a q u e l e s p a c i o que t i e -
