Market growth in Indonesia has increased very significantly.

supermarkets have opened their branches in various cities, this has made local small entrepreneurs
become the people's last choice for shopping. For me, this is not a good thing and will hurt the local
businessmen.

Firstly, with the procurement of supermarket expansion which states that local businesses will be closed
it make difficult for small local entrepreneurs who use them as a source of life to meet their needs.

Second, if supermarkets were built on a large scale in various cities and regions, this would monopolize
the supermarket share with local small businesses. Sellers will experience very high losses if their
business does not run smoothly. This situation will also get worse with the addition of the current Covid
pandemic which forces people to reduce activities outside the home.

Various benefits will be obtained by shopping with local small businesses. Among them are being able to
bargain the price of goods, the products being sold are more complete, and have many choices. In
addition, we can also build good communication with the seller

In closing, I would like to reiterate that the current supermarket expansion will have a negative impact
on small local businesses that have been there earlier than supermarkets, so I do not agree with this
action.
