Filling Gap
This technique can be done by blanking a few words in a paragraph or dialogue.
Have students listen to the spoken text through the teacher or tape and fill in the
blank words.
2. Finding Mistakes
This technique is done by asking to listen to the spoken text and underlining the
words that are not in accordance with the spoken text.
3. Rearranging Sentences / Paragraphs
This technique is done by giving gaps in sentences or paragraphs to students.
Students are asked to listen to the spoken text and arrange the sentence /
paragraph correctly.
4. Matching
This technique is done by breaking the conversation into two parts. The first
part contains half the sentence and the second half the sentence. Then the
students were asked to listen to the conversation text and then match the first
and second parts according to the conversation text.
5. Reasoning & argumentation
Describe or explain the reasons for a material that is considered difficult so that
students understand more.
6. Focus & point basis
Teaching based on bullet points so that it helps students not to forget easily. For
example, teaching back one of the important points in listening is increasing
vocabulary.
7. Honesty
Teachers are obliged to instill a courageous attitude to express ignorance to
students, the goal is that students are able to correct their learning methods and
further improve their ability in listening.
