DESCRIPCION DEL PROCESO

Detalle de la actividad
Jonathan Iwegbu has survived the Nigerian Civil War along with his wife and three of his four children, and
thus considers himself “extraordinarily lucky”. Jonathan works hard in the aftermath of the war, using his
bicycle to start a taxi service and opening a bar for soldiers.

Students learned about Chinua Achebe, the African author of the story. They did research on the Nigerian
Civil War and the cultures that fought that war. Pupils discussed about the phrase NOTHING PUZZLES
GOD and gave their opinions about the main character. Students expressed their written points of view
about the two paths of life, materialism and spirituality and the importance to find a balance between both.
In grammar, pupils practiced compound nouns, dialects, and vocabulary.
