Now I’d like to highlight some important aspects of this cabinet battle that Lin
Manuel Miranda took very much into account while writing this
He firstly addressed the south’s main problem with the national bank and turning
individual state debt into a national debt we would all pay together since there was
a disconnect between the north and south, with the north being a more trading
and business portion of the country and the south managing most of the nations
Even today you can see this same disconnect between working class individuals
and those who work more lavish jobs, such as those on wall street or big bankers,
or even people like trump, who have made so much money it’s hard not to believe
some sort of corruption occurring somewhere allowing them to get to were they
are.
of Treasury and trying to dramatically change the operating financial plan of the
government. This opened a door for him to address the fued between Hamilton and
Jefferson while also characterize a huge criticism of his financial plan by the Anti-
federalists, who, I’ll remind you were very Anti- strong central government.
[WASHINGTON] Thank you, Secretary Jefferson Secretary Hamilton, your

In this you see much of the Federalist support for the plan through Hamilton
characterizing his predicted economic extrapolations for the future of the new
nations. You can already begin to see the immense disconnect between the anti-
federalists and federalists of this early period, right before the establishment of
political parties. You can also see how Mr. Miranda takes into account the clear
debates over slavery and the birth of this abolition movement which did, in fact,
find its roots during the birth of our nation and the subsequent 3/5 compromise. It

Here we see more and more of this political division that Mr. Miranda most
certainly took into heavy account when designing all interactions between
Hamilton and Jefferson. He chose his cabinet battles to emphasize and stand as
symbols for the clear territorial and political division forming as high as up as the
president’s very own cabinet. In this cabinet battle he address a very important
topic, neautrality. Washington goes far as to argue for neutrality in the future in his
farwell address, and we can see this affect of this very simple debate in the late
1700s explode during the end of the Jefferson administration and the beginning of
the Madison administration where Jefferson implements the embargo act, limiting
our trade with England and France during the Napoleonic wars of course making
the north angry that the source of their financials is being limited as they had
already begun specializing in trade and commerce in the north. Madison who was
Secretary of State during this time and pushed for these regulations as well as
waging war with Great Britain during the war of 1812 triggered the first attempted
secession of our nation, New England trying to secede and not join the war and not
