Anna has been a student intern at Walled Lake Western High School since August 2020. ‘have found Anna to be extremely adaptive. She divides her internship between general English classes and the English as a Second Language (E.S.L) program and she successfully works under the mentorship of two teachers, ‘Anna successfully teaches reading and language classes in the E.S.L. program. She creates and uses ‘materials, assignments, and assessments to coincide with the curriculum. In addition, Anna collaborates and communicates with the E.S.L. paraprofessionals when needed. ‘Anna proficiently uses Google Classroom, Quizlet, Kahoot, FlipGrid, and other forms of technology to teach and assess online. For example, she used Google Slides to design an end of the unit assessment. Students verbally provided answers to questions in an interview format. The students stated they liked this format because they were less nervous and they were able to receive immediate feedback. In addition, Anna manages her classroom with maturity and respect. She incorporates fun games and learning activities, but she also speaks respectfully and privately to students when needed. ‘As an educator for over 13 years, | highly endorse Anna Fillar.
