The UNYPAD Gensan chapter plans to assist in organizing of chapter in Glan,
Malapatan, Sarangani Province
By: The Emperors Magnificient GENERAL SANTOS CITY (February 27, 2021) – United Youth for Peace and Development (UNYPAD) plans to organize chapters in Glan and Malapatan, Sarangani Province considering there are many young Muslim youth in the said towns that have the capability to join and become future leaders. Most of the participants of the planning workshop supported the idea that Gensan Chapter should help in organizing UNYPAD Chapters in the different municipalities of Sarangani. The UNYPAD was born to help alleviate the plight of its people in Mindanao and other places especially those marginalized sectors of the society. The officers and members agreed that they will exert effort to help in organizing the chapters in other towns near Gensan. Abdul Rashid Midzapak, Regional Coordinator for Western Mindanao, advised the officers and members of UNYPAD Gensan Chapter to go an extra mile by helping in the expansion of the organization in the neighboring towns. Sarangani is composed of seven municipalities namely Maitum, Kiamba, Maasim, Malapatan, Alabel, Glan and Malungon. They agreed to create a team that will assist in organizing chapters in Sarangani. Ustadz Noruddin Ortoste, Secretary on Da`wah and Education, said, “Maraming Muslim youth leaders sa Sarangani tayong pwedeng malapitan na makakatulong sa pag-invite sa magiging miyembro ng UNYPAD (We can approach many Muslim youth leaders in Sarangani who can help in inviting future members of UNYPAD).” He said, “Posibleng magkaroon tayo ng regional activity para mas mapalakas ang brotherhood natin dito sa Socsksargen area (It is possible for us to have a regional activity to strengthen our brotherhood here in Socsksargen area).” UNYPAD – Gensan Chapter Chairman, Sahani Ansa, said, “Kailangan nating tulungang magkaroon ng UNYPAD chapters sa Sarangani Province upang mas maraming kabataan ang magtutulungan tungo sa kapayapaan (We need to help to have UNYPAD chapters in Sarangani Province so that more young people will help one another towards peace).” He added, “Walang imposible kapag lahat ay nagtutulungan. Makakamit natin ang ating mga layunin at maisasagawa ang mga magagandang plano ng UNYPAD para sa kabataan (Nothing is impossible if we help each other. We can achieve the goals and realize the plans of UNYPAD for the youth).”
