The root is in contact with the soil. The cell sap in the root hair cell is concentrated solution
of sugar. Then cell sap have   lower water potential than the soil solution. Then both these
solutions are separated through partially permeable membrane present in the root hair cell.
Then the water enters the root hair cell through osmosis. Then the water gets dilute enters the
cell sap .Then the sap of the root hair becomes higher water potential. Then the water passes
out through osmosis from the root hair cell into the inner cell. Then the water passes out from
the inner cell to the cortex. Then this process continues until and unless the water enters the
xylem vessel and moves up the plant.

b) Stomata are small pores which are present in the surface of the leafs. This helps in the exchange of
gases. The stomata opens in day light. The stomata is present in the lower surface of the leaves.
